We're making a few changes to the way our Zapier and Dropbox integrations output data. 

These changes will be deployed between July 25-26, 2018.

We're making these changes to support for upcoming metrics and survey types.

These changes may break some of your Zaps or BrightGauge dashboards. If so, we're very sorry. 😓 

Changes

New Column - Sentiment

We're adding a new column named Sentiment  which can contain the following values:

  • Positive 
  • Neutral 
  • Negative 

With our current CSAT survey these sentiments map 1:1 with ratings, but future surveys might be different. For example, a Net Promoter Score survey's 0-6 ratings all map to Negative.

Also, there might be CSAT surveys with 4 or 5 point rating scales. In those cases, multiple ratings will need to be mapped to one of these three sentiments. 

Changed Column - Rating

The column's name is the same, but with this change, values will only be numerical. The previous text values are changing as follows:

  • good  ➡ 2 
  • neutral  ➡ 1 
  • bad  ➡ 0 

Using only numerical values allows for cleaner integrations, and better calculations in dashboard tools like BrightGauge.

Removed Column - Rating Value

This was used for BrightGauge to calculate a CSAT score. Values were either 100 if the rating was positive, or 0 if neutral or negative. 

This worked, but it's redundant with the Positive  column.
