Add a Simplesat survey to Zoho Desk

How to add your customer satisfaction survey (CSAT), customer effort score (CES), and net promoter score (NPS) embed code to Zoho Desk.

Simplesat allows you to create a CSAT or NPS survey that you can embed directly in Zoho Desk email templates.

Create your survey

First, create a new survey.

Customize the survey settings to your heart's desires. 😁 Then, choose the Integrate with another tool option in the Publish tab.

Select Zoho Desk in the pop-up box.

Click the Generate Embed Code button. Make sure you're on the HTML option, then click Copy survey.

Add your survey to Email Templates

Head over to your Zoho account, and navigate to Setup > Customization > Templates.

In the Templates sections, click on the Email Templates > Contact Notification > Notify Contact On Ticket Closure > click Edit.

Note: You can add a Simplesat survey to a new Zoho template or any existing template that you like.

Click the drop-down arrow, and select the Insert HTML option.

Paste the survey code that you copied from your Simplesat account, and click the Insert button.

Customize the email template. Then, click Save.

You can use this survey template when creating Macros.


Add your survey to Macros

Head over to your Zoho account, and navigate to Setup > Macros > Create macro.

In this example, we created a new rule, and added the survey to an Existing action, and use the survey email template. You can either create a new rule or edit an existing one. The choice is yours! 😁

In the Macros section, select Rules > Create Rule.

Click the drop-down arrow > select the Alerts - Existing option in the Actions section.

Select the survey email template > click the Associate Alert button.


Add your survey to Workflows

Head over to your Zoho account, and navigate to Setup > Automation > Workflows

You can either create or edit an existing Workflow. In this example, we created a New Workflow Rule, and use the survey email template.

Fill in the required information and set the conditional logic of your Workflow rule.

In the Actions section, click the drop-down arrow > Alerts - Existing > select the survey email template.


Add your survey to Signatures

Head over to your Zoho account, and navigate to Setup > Customization > Personal Settings.

In the Preferences section, select Signatures > View Signature.

Click the drop-down arrow beside the Insert, and select the Insert HTML option.

Paste the survey code that you copied from your Simplesat account, and click the Insert button.

Customize your signature, and click Save.


Try it out!

Create a test ticket with yourself as the requester. Check your email and click any rating that you like. Once you do, new feedback should instantly show up in your Simplesat dashboard. 🎊
