Make integrations

Start Make scenarios from new Simplesat answers, and create or update customers from your other apps.

With the Simplesat app in Make, a scenario can start when an answer comes in or changes. It can also create or update customers, list your answers, or make any call to the Simplesat API. You could send a Telegram message or create a Trello card whenever feedback comes in, or add new Mailchimp subscribers or LiveAgent customers to Simplesat.

Make maintains the app. It connects to Simplesat through our API, using an API key you create in Simplesat.

Before you start

You need a Simplesat API key, and every plan includes them. Keys live on Admin → API keys. To create one, you need the Owner or Admin role, or a custom role with Access API key.

Use a Full access key, or a Custom key with Read on Answers. When you connect, Make checks the key by reading your answers, so a Custom key without that scope won't connect. A Custom key also needs the scopes your scenario uses, such as Write on Customers to create or update customers.

For more on creating and managing keys, see API keys management.

Connect Simplesat to Make

  1. In Simplesat, go to Admin → API keys, create a key and copy it right away. Simplesat shows a key only once.

  2. In Make, add a Simplesat module to a scenario and click Create a connection.

  3. Paste your API key. You can also give the connection a name in Connection name.

  4. Save the connection.

Each key belongs to one workspace. To work with another workspace, create a second connection with that workspace's key.

Make an API Call

Makes any call to the Simplesat API with your connection

Make an API Call can reach any endpoint in the Simplesat API documentation. If you use a Custom key, the key needs the scope that endpoint declares.

Tip: If you'd rather receive each response at a Make webhook, go to Integrations in Simplesat and open the Simplesat Tools page. Each option there whose name starts with Send data to API endpoint posts every new or updated response to a URL.

Troubleshooting

Make says "403 Invalid Token" when I connect

Make checks a connection by reading your answers with the key, and that read failed.

  • Make sure you copied the whole key and that it's still listed on Admin → API keys. If it's gone, create a new key and paste that one instead.

  • If it's a Custom key, give it Read on Answers and try connecting again. You can keep the same key, because the new scope applies right away. Or use a Full access key.

A Simplesat module fails with a permission error

Your key is missing the scope that module needs. This only happens with Custom keys. Create or Update Customer, for example, needs Write on Customers. Add the scope to the key on Admin → API keys, or use a Full access key. A scope you add applies right away, so you don't need to reconnect in Make.
