Add a Simplesat survey to Gorgias

How to add your customer satisfaction survey (CSAT), customer effort survey (CES), and net promoter score (NPS) embed codes to Gorgias.

Simplesat allows you to create a CSAT or NPS survey that you can embed directly in a Gorgias macro or satisfaction survey.

There are multiple ways to embed a Simplesat in Gorgias. You can:


Create your survey

First, create a new survey.

Customize the survey settings to your heart's desires. 😁 Then, choose the Integrate with another tool option in the Publish tab.

Select Gorgias in the pop-up box.

Note: Gorgias doesn't support HTML images and emojis yet, so we'll be using the survey link that directs customers to the first question of the survey.

Click the Generate Embed Code button. Make sure you're on the Link option, then click Copy survey.

Automatically send a survey after closing a chat conversation

Simplesat can automatically send surveys to Gorgias chat conversations once those conversations get marked as closed.

Here's an example of what this may look like in Gorgias:


Add your survey to a Gorgias macro

Head over to your Gorgias account, and navigate to Settings > Macros > Create a macro.

Type the primary question that you'd like to ask your customers

Highlight the survey question and click the link icon. Then, paste the survey link that you copied from your Simplesat account.

Hover your mouse cursor on the survey question to check and make sure that the survey link is correct. Then, click the Update Macro button when you're done.


Add you survey to a Gorgias rule

You can add a survey to a Gorgias rule to automatically send a survey once a ticket has been closed for example.

​Head over to your Gorgias account, and navigate to Settings > Rules > Create a rule.

Either choose a template which you'd like to use, or create a custom rule.

Set up the rule conditions you want, then at the action select send email.

Type the primary question that you'd like to ask your customers, then highlight the survey question and click the link icon.
Paste the survey link that you copied from your Simplesat account and click insert link.

Then click create rule to save your rule.


Try it out!

Create a test ticket, and set yourself as the requester. Add the Macro survey template to your ticket response, and send the email. Check your email inbox, and click any rating that you like. Once you do, new feedback should instantly show up in your Simplesat dashboard. 🎊
