The Simplesat app for Microsoft Teams posts each new survey response to a Teams channel. It can also post a weekly or monthly summary. For each channel, you choose which surveys and which ratings it gets.
For email and the other ways your team can hear about feedback, see Notifications.
Before you start
A Simplesat login. You can sign in with a username and password, with Google, with Microsoft or with SSO.
Permission to add apps to a team in Teams. Some organizations only let Teams admins add apps, and team owners can restrict who adds them. If you can't add Simplesat, ask a team owner or your Teams admin.
A channel in a team. The app posts in channels, not in chats.
Add the Simplesat app to a team
In Teams, open Apps, search for Simplesat and select it.
Select Add.
In the next dialog, search for and select the channel you want notifications in, then select Go.
The Simplesat bot posts a welcome message in that channel. Select Open Configuration.
Set up notifications for a channel
In the configuration window:
Enter your Username and Password and click Log in, or use Log in with Google, Log in with Microsoft or SSO. If your login uses two-factor authentication, enter the Authentication code from your authenticator app.
If you belong to more than one Simplesat workspace, choose the one you want and click Continue.
Click Click to get started. Activating the channel takes about a minute.
If you want summaries, switch on Weekly summary, Monthly summary or both.
Under When should this integration run?, keep Every response from all current and future surveys, or choose Let me choose and pick which ratings post for each survey: positive, neutral or negative, each with or without a comment.
Click Save.
Heads up: With Let me choose, surveys you create later won't post until you turn them on in the channel's configuration.
To set up another channel in the same team, send @Simplesat config in that channel, select Open Configuration and follow the same steps. A Simplesat workspace can post to up to 15 channels.
What the app posts
Each response posts as a card with its ratings, answers and team member, plus a View in Simplesat button.
The app posts a response when it arrives and again when it's updated, like when the customer changes their rating or adds a comment.
The weekly summary posts on Mondays, and the monthly summary on the 1st of each month.
Change, stop or remove notifications
To change a channel's settings:
In the channel, send @Simplesat config and select Open Configuration.
Make your changes and click Save.
To stop notifications in a channel:
Open the channel's configuration the same way.
Click Stop Notifications, then Confirm Deactivation.
Stopping notifications also clears the channel's settings.
Heads up: Removing the app from one team stops Simplesat notifications in every channel in your organization, including channels in other teams. To stop notifications in just one channel, use Stop Notifications instead.
To remove the app from a team:
In Teams, go to Apps → Manage your apps.
Expand Simplesat.
Select Remove next to the team, then confirm.
Older Microsoft Teams integrations
Before the app, Simplesat connected to Teams in two other ways:
Incoming webhook channels, set up on the Send feedback to Microsoft Teams page. Microsoft retired incoming webhooks, and these stopped posting in June 2026.
A Microsoft Teams integration you connected by signing in with a Microsoft account (Sync feedback to a Teams channel). It's no longer maintained.
To switch, add the Simplesat app to the team and set up each channel. The app posts every response, as the older integrations did.
Troubleshooting
Teams says "Unable to reach app"
That's a problem on our side, not in your settings. Contact us and we'll get it working again.
The configuration window is blank or shows an error
Click Log out and start over and sign in again. If the error comes back, contact us and include the message you see.
I see "Maximum number of webhooks reached"
Your workspace already posts to 15 channels, which is the limit. Stop notifications in a channel you no longer use, then click Click to get started again.
A new survey isn't posting to Teams
If the channel uses Let me choose, surveys you create later aren't selected. Open the channel's configuration, turn on the ratings you want for the new survey and click Save.
Our Teams notifications stopped and we set them up before the app
You're on one of the older Teams integrations. Add the Simplesat app to the team and set up each channel.
FAQ
Does the app post every response?
Yes, for the surveys and ratings you chose for the channel. It posts each response when it arrives and again when it's updated.
Can I post to more than one channel?
Yes, up to 15 channels per Simplesat workspace. Each channel has its own surveys, ratings and summaries.
Can I change how the Teams card looks?
No, the card's layout and details are fixed. To post your own message, use Zapier, Make or n8n: start from a new response in Simplesat and post to Teams with the details you pick.
