If WiseStamp manages your team's email signatures, you can add a Simplesat survey to them and put its rating choices in every email your team sends.
There's nothing to connect. You generate the survey code in Simplesat and paste it into a WiseStamp signature.
Before you start
The WiseStamp survey is available on every Simplesat plan.
Send surveys from WiseStamp
First, in Simplesat:
Create or open the survey and choose External email embed.
Under Choose where to add your survey, choose WiseStamp.
Click Generate embed code.
Choose HTML and click Copy survey.
Then, in WiseStamp's Studio editor:
Open the signature you want the survey in.
Click Apps and add HTML.
Paste the survey code into it and save the signature.
Send a test email with that signature to another address you can read. Click a rating in the email that arrives, then check that the response shows up in Simplesat.
The links have no customer email and no ticket ID in them. WiseStamp responses arrive without a customer, and someone who clicks twice leaves two responses.
Troubleshooting
My WiseStamp responses come in with no customer
That's expected. The WiseStamp survey code holds nothing about who the email went to, which leaves Simplesat no way to tell who the customer is.
If you need to know who rated, use Generic Embed instead. Its survey page can ask customers for their name and email after they click a rating.
Set the survey up on Generic Embed.
On the survey's Configure tab, check that Show question if customer info isn't already associated with the answer is on. It's on by default for new surveys, and without it the survey page won't ask.
Swap the new code into the WiseStamp signature.
There's more on Generic Embed and the customer-details question in External email embed.
I get ratings that nobody remembers giving
Some mail security scanners open all the links in an email, rating links included, and opening one can record a rating. Rating clicks get an automatic spam check, but some automated clicks still get through. Since WiseStamp links don't name a customer, these ratings show up without one.
To cut down on automated clicks, see External email embed.
FAQ
Do I need to connect WiseStamp to Simplesat?
No. There's no WiseStamp integration to connect. The survey works from the code in the signature.
Do I need to update the survey in WiseStamp when I change it in Simplesat?
After some changes, yes. The code in the signature is a copy, and it doesn't change when the survey does. If you edit the survey's metric question, rating choices, icons or labels, generate the code again and replace it in the WiseStamp signature.
The full list of changes that need new code is in External email embed.
Do I need to redo signatures I made in WiseStamp's Classic Editor?
No. They keep working after the switch to the Studio.
