Feedback views are pre-configured filters and layouts that let you customize how you view and analyze feedback. Whether you're monitoring real-time responses or diving deep into data for detailed insights, feedback views support a variety of use cases to enhance your workflow and analytics experience.

View types

List view

The list view displays responses in a real-time stream format, with the latest response appearing at the top. It provides a quick and easy way to see the most important details for each response at a glance.

  • Hover for details - Hover over specific elements to view additional information without leaving the page.

  • Expand for full details - Click on any response to open a popup modal with complete details.

This layout is ideal for situations where you need to stay updated with incoming feedback or want to review responses quickly without diving into granular data.

Table view

The table view gives you precise control over the data you see, offering options to customize column order, visibility, and how responses are displayed. This flexibility makes it easy to prepare data for CSV exports exactly the way you want, eliminating extra steps after exporting.

Within the table view layout, you can choose to display answers by rows or columns:

Answers by rows

In this layout, each row represents an individual answer along with all related details.

When to use the answers by rows layout:

  • To combine answers from multiple surveys in one view.

  • To focus on specific answers across surveys or questions.

  • To prepare datasets for comparative analysis when working with diverse survey types.

Answers by columns

In this layout, each row represents an individual response, with answers to different questions displayed as columns.

The answer by column layout requires you to select a single survey because including multiple surveys would result in too many columns, making the view difficult to manage.

When to use the answers by columns layout:

  • To analyze multiple answers from the same survey side by side.

  • To prepare data for cross-question analysis within a single survey.

  • To spot trends or patterns in responses across specific survey questions.

Editing columns

You can customize your table view further by adjusting column order and visibility.

  1. Click the Edit columns option from the dropdown menu.

  2. Toggle column visibility by clicking the eye icon next to each column name. Visible columns move to the Shown in table section, while hidden columns move to Hidden in table.

  3. Drag and drop columns to reorder them based on your preferences.

  4. Changes are saved automatically—no need to manually save after editing.

Creating and editing views

Creating a new view

You can create a new feedback view in two ways:

  • Click the New feedback view link from the left sidebar or the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.

  • Apply filters to an existing view, then click the Save filters button and choose the option to create a new view.

This flexibility lets you quickly generate custom views tailored to your needs.

In your Simplesat account, views are shared globally. This means that any view you create can be seen by all users on your account.

Editing an existing view

To make changes to an existing view:

  • Click Edit view from the top-right menu to update the name or layout.

  • Modify the date range or filters by adjusting them and clicking Save filters. You can then decide whether to apply the changes to the existing view or create a new one.

Deleting a view

If a view is no longer needed, select Delete feedback view from the top-right dropdown menu.
