Simplesat email surveys are fully customizable, which means they'll always be on brand, and on point! π
Customization options
From - The name of the sender. This can either be your company, or a person's name in your company.
Email - Sender email address. We recommend using a real address so you know when a customer replies to an email. To change the sending domain name, please follow these instructions.
Subject - Keep it short and interesting.
Intro text - The content above the question. This can be a good place to address your customer personally and explain why they're receiving a survey.
Outro text - the content after the question. You can include a signature or auxiliary links back to your website or help center.
Design template - Choose from a variety of pre-built templates.
Using customer and company placeholders
Simplesat gives you the option to include customer and company placeholders in intro, outro, and subject lines.
Field | Variable | Fallback |
Customer first name |
| there |
Company |
| your company |
You can insert the variables directly in each intro/outro editor toolbar:
If a placeholder value doesn't exist, we'll display fallback text. For example, "Hey {{ first_name }}!" would fall back to "Hey there!"
Your account already has defaults (see above). If you'd like to change the fallback text for a survey, please reach out to Simplesat support and we'll be happy to help you out.
Sending a test email
Click this button to send a test to the email address connected to your Simplesat account.
The test email content will be exactly what your customers will see. You can click the ratings in the test email to preview the landing page settings.
Note: The clicks from test emails will add actual ratings to your Simplesat, so be sure to delete them later. πΒ
